Had the same experience. Took the card on the 0% come on. About a year into the card, my wife died. I had to use my last $5000 dollars for her funeral. Spoke with
Advanta and told them I would be about a week late and explained the
circumstances. Well, you guessed it, jumped to the 7.9% even after they told me that there would be no problem in that
circumstance. Lie No. 1! Needless to say, by the time I caught up, within 4 -6 weeks, and after there numerious harassing calls from area code 303, I was up to 29.9%. When all done, they increased to 31%. All I can say, is they lied from the
customer reps to the managers/supervisors. FYI - Companies
doing business via UTAH, can raise rates to the max.
