they did not mail a statement and then I called and told I was late and they will not reduce the rate. will not work with me at all. they get you in and then they increase
interest rates. when calling and emailing they will do nothing towards
customer satisfaction and know that they have you at ridiculous
interest rates. They harass you for business and when they have you they turn evil. This has happened to me and someone else that I know. so it is common practise for them. bunch of cons. do not trust them at all

If you are like me it is a closed account, so they do not care. They are hanging on by a shoestring, so those of us who don't have the extra cash laying around to pay off our cards are screwed. I have about a $9500 balance, with about 5800 at 34.99%, the rest at promotional rates. I have never been late or over limit, yet my interest went from 6.99 to 34.99%. And I know that if I am ever late for any reason, the promotional rate is gone and the whole amount will be subject to the 34.99%. I don't think anything but a lawsuit will get them to change. The most ridiculous thing is the FDIC settlement. I got a check for $46, that is supposed to be 2 months refund of interest for when the repriced my interest. Yet they FDIC didn't order them to reduce their interest. So the FDIC ordered them to refund overcharged interest, yet didn't order them to reduce the overcharged interest. Their "repricing" of their interest has cost me around $3000, and I got $46. I am hoping for a class action lawsuit.

What have you done about this? Same thing 34.99% interest. Will not reduce rate even though we cannot pay. Said to go to a consumer councel.
Has anyone got them to reduce rate? If so HOW?
