Advanta claims they sent letters out last June warning of the interest rate hike. Bet you did not get yours either. We received an Interest rate slam from 7.9 to 32%because they claim my credit score was low, in spite of being 740 with all three credit reporting agencies, and my payment history was not satisfactory.
This company is going down, I say we, the consumers meet them at their crash site.
I am ready for the class action, I have emails, faxes, documented phone calls, dates names and phone numbers. If Advanta refuses to speak with me as an individual, then they can speak to me as part of an angry class action.
I am the President of a small business willing to pay an Attorney. They do not deserve to be rewarded for their greed and deception, especially when we the people are bailing them out. My torch is lit, and I have a pitch fork ready to shovel their ...

When can I expect to pay them off with interest so high. The action must comense now , freeze the accounts and let the lies practiced by Advana open in Court to hold hearings. Advanta must pay for their reprehensible accountability |

| 3. Written by Tonya, on 28-04-2009 10:36 We are very interested in getting involved. They jacked our interest up to 29.99% We have filed a complaint with the FDIC and are still waiting for a response from them at this point in time. We are at the point that payments are not being made by the due date, but do not go over 30 days. And are currently paying close to 500 a month in interest alone! Feel free to have your atty contact us as well. |

Written by Mary, on 13-04-2009 14:26 If *debt consolidators* are able to arrange -- from the same banks we do business with -- lower APRs, what game is being played with credit card account holders so that the banks we are customers with that -- these same banks refuse to lower our APRs when we customers request lower APRs directly from the banks? So who is in cahoots with whom?? The shadiness of it all! Remind yourselves that if we settle any account, the settlement amount is taxable income reported to the IRS and a 1099 form will be sent to the customer for year-end payable taxes. BEWARE! |

| 6. Written by Drowning in Advanta quick sand, on 07-02-2009 11:09 Yes, my card is up to 37.7% for purchases, AND a 7.99% for promotions which means that is a whopping 41.69%! I've am unable to pay them anymore. I had an excellent payment history, and more than the minimum payments, but that's not good enough. I am a small business owner and have experienced the slowdown of income with my clients and am really feeling it. My husband had become unemployed as of last June, and still cannot find work. In combination with this, all of my other credit card companies are raising my interest rates, again all for being a good customer. I would love to get behind this class action law suit, as I am so tired of paying these cards (which I haven;'t had a late payment on any of my accounts since 2000. If anyone has an American Express card, it would be a good idea to think about where you are spending... the gentleman who started this site was really slammed by them! www.newcreditrules.com We've gotta ban together and get this issue resolved! |
| 7. Written by Slammed to 33%, on 19-01-2009 15:25 I was slammed to 33% Even debt counseling advised Advanta will not lower your rate, your credit is too good. They are counting on you paying on that 33% or paying them off while they get that 33% along the way. |
