I also got ripped off by the Advanta
bank credit card company. At first I was given a locked in rate that was excellent it was supposed to be a
lifetime rate, I have good credit with no overdue payments. They raised my rate twice and now my payment is too high to afford. I requested to opt out, I was never properly notified and they first said I could opt out and now they say I can't. I'm sure there will be
lawsuits over there
illegal tactics.
What is a consumer supposed to do when the payment is hiked too way more than it was originally. I think they are trying to take advantage of people with good credit ratings and possibly women and minorities to price
gauge.
