I had a Corporation which had a credit card with Advanta. When I closed the company I owed app. $11 000.

I have faithfully made payments to this company. I joined a credit concillor and continued to make monthly payments.

I had breast cancer and underwent chemo, radiation and a radical mastectomy. I was out of work for several months. Could not pay for three months. I then found that the Credit Councillor took a percentage.

I spoke with Advanta, made an agreement with them to pay them direct inc. 7% interest. I now owe them $1100 which is about 4 more payments and they now inform me that they are reporting me to the credit bureaus for being in default, even though I have made payments faithfully as agreed to by them. Apparently this is a new decision by Advanta as the want their $1100 today. A representative from overseas calls me at least 3 - 4 times a week. I have just undergone another operation, but speaking to their representative this means nothing. Just Pay us or we will report you.
