An attorney in NY is working on putting together a class action lawsuit against Advanta for all of you that had their interest rates raised for not valid reason. If you want to join, please e-mail me.

Advanta needs to pay for their ripoffs. The attorney had the Advanta card and was using it to finance advertising and such for his law firm. He paid it off and wasn't even carrying a balance and they still raised his rate. Advanta claims they sent him an opt out notice and he didn't get it, just like myself. They are liars, because nobody has received it.

Count us in. They raised our rates to 34.99 percent without ever missing an payment or being late. Please, keep us posted.

I received a check of $146.22 from Advanta for unfair practice under Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act. They know they are in trouble and they want to hurry and settle so there is no class action suit. If they think that this small amount of money is going to cut it for the rape they have done to me, they have another thing coming. I called Advanta and they said I would not be getting any additional money for not taking this check, let's see, they need their butt's sued. Count me in on this law suit.

They raised my rate to 34.99%. I never paid late. I always paid more then Mim payment and had a high 600 or 700 credit score. Since then most of the credit card companies, Advanta included are lowering my limits to match my balance which lowers my credit score. They just sent me a check for $40.06 to cover the over interest they are charging me. My rate started at 9.9%. Yet that $40.00 sure does cover it. I am going to return the check. I would like to add my name to this lawsuit. Thanks

Count me in they have done the same to me and I will never pay them that interest. I will pay what I received consideration for & correct interest but not 37% with a beacon score of 780.
